The Christmas Market in Seiffen will take place from December 1st to December 23th., 2012. The market
will be opened at 10:00 a.m.
with a miner's parade.
Beginning on the first Sunday of Advent and running through January 6th,
Seiffen will offer a unique holiday setting. As dusk settles over the
snow-covered, romantic village
of Seiffen, contentment
settles into the homes and hearts of the toy makers. Hordes of smoking
figures and nutcrackers that have been passed from generation to generation
have taken their places in the cozy rooms. Aromatic
smoke rises from candle-lit pyramids. Some symbolic figures of Seiffen can
not only be encountered in wooden form but live, such as the group
"Living Toys" in their traditional costumes.
Let yourself be enchanted by the Christmas world of the Erzgebirge.
